At this point, you have probably heard a lot about the four Zhu Zhu Pets.  Everyone has their favorite, but the Zhu Zhu hamster, Mr. Squiggles is the most popular.  One of the most popular toys of the current Christmas season, you must know at least one child who would love to have one of these pets.  These adorable toys have a growing fan base consisting of children upwards of four years old (note: small parts choking hazard for younger children).

Mr. Squiggles is the premier explorer of the Zhu Zhu pets.  This little life-like hamster charms children with his handsome light brown coat, inquisitive black eyes, and cute pink nose.  Let him go and he will soon start doing what comes naturally:  darting around to investigate his environment.

Given artificial intelligence, he appears aware of what room he is in.  To the delight of all, he makes different sounds depending on the room he is in.  In this respect, he is way ahead of living hamsters. For example in the bedroom he can make sleeping noises or alarm clock sounds. Whenever he meets an obstacle on his scouting missions, he makes his own distinctive sounds.

Like many real mammals, these Zhu Zhu pets seem to enjoy being petted.  They coo in response to being stroked.  In many ways, the Zhu Zhu pets and Mr. Squiggles really seem like real hamsters.  However, you don’t have to feed them or clean them!  You get all the benefits without the mess!  And your child gets a pet he or she will love.
